More like a Birth-weekend than a Birthday

Well to say the least it has been an eventful past couple of days. My 20th birthday was this past weekend, so my excuse from Friday to Monday was "Its my birthday weekend, i can do what i want." And so i did just that. Friday evening i went up north shore with some friends to get my free acai bowl (they have a card where if you buy 10 you get one free and i had a full card) and to watch the sun set and one of our friends body board. It was a nice relaxing time to get me to forget the stresses of school, work, and life and prepared me to just enjoy my birthday weekend. After that we came home and ate at surf-n-tacos. Delicious! and then after everyone got home later that night we had an EPIC game of Capture the Flag under the moonlight across the street at the beach. The reason it was epic was because we are a competitive bunch and got into the game. Our game lasted for about 2-3 hours and resulted in neither team capturing a flag and some tested relationships. We got so into the game that we had to separate ourselves to cool off and not continue arguing with each other. Hahah it was epic.

The next morning, running on little sleep from our game of capture the flag a couple of us went rock climbing up at Kaena Point. The view from up there is amazing and the rock climbing is great!

This is our group right before we started our hike up to the base of the rock climbing.

The View from the bottom of where you rock climb. It is beautiful and the air strip in the photo is where i went skydiving last year!!!

After on our way home we stopped at Kava Roots and i got another Acai Bowl! yep that means i ate 2 acai bowls within 24 hours of eachother and i loved every last bite of them. After we went to the girls soccer game to watch them defeat Noter Dame De Namur. After that we went and watch the saddest but cutes comedy i have ever seen, Life as We Know It. It was so cute and i loved it and highly suggest it to anyone remotely interested in the movie, totally worth it.

Finally my actual birthday arrived and it was great. I slept in until noon, talked to the family, went to church and then came home for some festive activities. for the day we had both a crepe party and our compound (my house and the guys house right next door, we refer to ourselves as the compound) had the first annual pumpkin carving contest. We had about 25 or so people show us and we all carved pumpkins ino our back yard. Our pumpkins were then judged by Matti's Mom, Grandma, and the little neighbor boy Carden. It was loads of fun and i look forward to doing it again next year. After they were judged and the winners picked (i got and Honorable Mention) everyone sang me happy birthday and we all hung out and had our crepes. They were delicious!

This is my pumpkin. it may not be scary or conventional but it has meaning. Our house is called the bus stop house so my pumpkin was dedicated to our house!

Here is almost everyone's pumpkins

Most everyone who was there and some of the pumpkins. The three judges are deliberating in the middle.

Later that same night we had another out door movie and watched the new Robin Hood that just came out. It was a great weekend but my birthday-ness wasnt over. On Monday we cooked my birthday cake and i got to blow out 20 candles. (I did it in one big breath so my wish would come true!)

Well thats about all that happened this weekend haha just a few things, but it was a great birthday weekend and thanks to all those who helped make it as great as it was!
